Michael Kohlhaas

The Saxon squire Wenzel von Tronka mangled two black horses belonging to the horse trader Michael Kohlhaas of Brandenburg. Kohlhaas tries to enforce the law and to sue the petty noble in a court of law for damages. This, however, fails due to the squire's good connections with the authorities.

Ziemia niczyja (No man's land)

Like portraits by Michelangelo are the four faces in the all-encompassing light of the flickering candles, the gestures of their hands are detailed studies of saints. Just on pretence, human moths share the light with each other and then slyly try to steal it for themselves. A smashed out window frame slides back and forth, and the strange spook quartet uses it for its whispering, fugitive game.

Glass … short stories of fools

Male and female Santas flirt with the audience and distribute candies. A kitschy red velvet curtain parts the scene, red is also the colour of costumes, lipsticks, gloves and the clown's nose. Schmaltzy sounds the baroque music with which, slowly but surely, eerie sounds and noises mingle. Red slowly assumes another nature and associates itself with power, violence, lust and blood.

Night Shift

Unknown sounds change during the deepest night into characters out of the past. Is it fantasy or dream? Are dreams deceiving or do they let us understand things better? Dreams are tempting but also amoral and repulsive. They breach walls, convention, good manners and best intentions without difficulty. The human mind separates the mundane daily dirt and then launches a veritable deluge of imagination. Something smoulders …

10 ukendte soldater (10 unknown soldiers)

Several rooms allow a view into the lives of people, individually and running parallel, droll or tragic and both at once. Men are saying farewell for it is war, still going or yet once again. Here they are amongst themselves, carrying the pictures of their loved ones with them. The women dream of them and greet them after their return, whether their bodies are hale and hearty or hurt, even if all are burnt out within. These stories seem to be history, estranged in idyll yet shocking in reality.

ErotiKomische Geschichten aus 1001 Nacht (ErotiComical tales out of 1001 nights)

The King of Samarkand returns from his journey sooner as expected and catches his wife entertaining a slave in her bed. He arranges for her execution and then marries a virgin every evening, who is promptly beheaded on the next morning. Sadness spreads across the country and Scheherazade, the daughter of the king's grand vizier, offers herself as a sacrificial lamb to change the king's mind.
