The time has almost come: on 8 November, the 32nd euro-scene Leipzig will open with ANY ATTEMPT WILL END IN CRUSHED BODIES AND SHATTERED BONES. In the choreography, the Flemish star choreographer Jan Martens dedicates himself to the battle for democracy and freedom.

Festival director Christian Watty presents the programme of euro-scene Leipzig 2022.

The complete program of the 32nd euro-scene Leipzig is now online. From November 8 to 13, 2022, a total of 12 productions from Belgium, France, Italy, Congo, Mozambique and Ukraine, among others, will be staged.

In order to promote the networking of the Saxon dance scene this year, euro-scene Leipzig is awarding in cooperation with 4fT Dance Platform Leipzig scholarships to dancers from Saxony for the first time.

Here we present the eight artists who were selected via an open call to show which of them can improvise best with each other at the UBUNTU CONNECTION.

We proudly present the jury of the UBUNTU CONNECTION: Georgina Philp, Marcos Vinicius da Silva, Natisa Exocé Kasongo and Tadios Cherenet will decide who of the 16 participants has most impressively used the power and art of togetherness.

Today we would like to introduce you to the first eight participants curated by the Berlin hip-hop dance theatre collective “Somɔgɔ”.

A new format initiated by euro-scene Leipzig. 16 different artists from dance and new circus perform with and for each other on stage. With live music, they conquer the space in a battle from round to round and create the UBUNTU CONNECTION with the audience.
