A concert by the band Grünfeuer, which was founded in 2004, is integrated into this year’s festival party. Their band’s name originates from a picture of sunlight cascading through green leaves. Their German texts deal with relationships, fleeing the restraints of time, reflecting on the value of tranquillity as well as internal passion. Their authentic presence, which is supported by musical understatement, is contrasted with bombastically melodious eruptions; intimately emotional passages follow reggae hiphop beats with a rock undertow. The crossover pop of the four Leipzig residents exude a pure energy that keeps everyone dancing.
