When the stage inspires movement and rhythm, and simultaneously ensnares and releases the dancer from a spatial complexity; the essence is externalised, the building can also become the city theatre. Its size and choreography are able to create an artificial landscape which presents itself to the user and reveals the sequences which draw urbanity into its centre.

All three of them are architecture – in a state of flux, constant change, compression and release. Movement must be stopped, frozen, at least depicted and noted to make them materialise. So the stage portrays the building and the city.

The »Metapolis« dance performance for Charleroi/Danses create the different rhythms of the city, portray a scenic architecture that accompanies the dancer’s movements and consequently gives the dance a fourth dimension. In the new administrative building of the BMW Group in Leipzig the space portrays the production sequences, areas that are described by the user open up with and without choreography.
