HAUSTRUM HAUSTORIUM is a new work by Post-Organic Bauplan that takes the relationship between the human body and the robotic organism to a new level. This work premieres a revolutionary generation of robotic prostheses, designed to physically entwine with the performer — drawing close, suctioning the skin, merging.

Post-Organic Bauplan works by mixing up dance and robotics from an experimental perspective. Taking inspiration from biological science and concepts based on processes found in nature, Post-Organic Bauplan uses dance and robotics as tools to rethink the human body and the social constructs around the idea of what is considered natural and what is not.

HAUSTRUM HAUSTORIUM plays at this very edge, where the biological meets the mechanical, and where new possibilities of connection emerge. The relationship between human and robot transcends mere interaction — it becomes parasitic, symbiotic. Each entity shapes the other, altering their movement and existence in profound ways. HAUSTRUM HAUSTORIUM Haustorium investigates somatic possibilities that interaction with robots can open up.
