Tools for embodied practice
Manuel Roque
In collaboration with 4fT – Tanzplattform Leipzig, we are offering a dance masterclass with Manuel Roque (Montréal) this year. This format, designed as an encounter with a renowned choreographer, is aimed both at dancers and interested non-professionals.
Manuel Roque offers insights into the creative process behind his new work SWEET RODEO and shares methods from his choreographic practice. Starting from improvisation exercises, participants develop different movement qualities such as grounding, weight, flow, vibration and speed. The focus is on perception, presence and working with a partner. Physical contact, attention and trust form the basis for a shared experience of movement, creativity and connection.
