Let‘s talk about Sex, Education, Fight!
AFTER|THOUGHTS & CONVERSATIONS on SEX EDUCATION II: FIGHT by Tjaša Črnigoj
English | Free admission

How do young performers from countries of the former Yugoslavia approach the realities of life of their female ancestors – doctors, midwives, mothers, the first female politicians? What do socialism, women's suffrage and women's self-determination have to do with each other? What is the story behind the so-called ‘epidemic of (unprofessionally performed) abortions’ in the 1950s in what was then Yugoslavia, and how does the right to contraception relate to this? What conditions governed the right to one's own (female) body in the past, and who determined them? And what battles are (still) being fought today?
We invite you to join us for a discussion about SEX EDUCATION II: FIGHT with director Tjaša Črnigoj, other members of the production team and students from the Institute for Theatre Studies at the University of Leipzig.

The format AFTER|THOUGHTS & CONVERSATIONS is designed and organised in collaboration with the Institute for Theatre Studies at the University of Leipzig.
