euro-scene Leipzig, HEIZHAUS and 4fT – Tanzplattform Leipzig are offering two dance masterclasses that invite participants to discover Alexandra “Spicey” Landé’s way of working and to experience movement as a form of expression. Rooted in hip-hop dance and culture, participants work with her characteristic improvisational practice and discover new approaches to music and movement. The human psyche, relationships and the question of how emotions shape the body are at the centre. In the process, the intensity and expressive power of Spicey’s choreographic language become tangible.

Good technique is an important foundation in hip-hop. In this masterclass, participants expand their movement vocabulary and discover new ways of working with dynamics, space and music.

How does an initial impulse become a choreographic process – and eventually a piece? Here you will discover how ideas, emotions and movement become choreographic material step by step.
