Three renowned theater makers enrich this year's festival edition with their plays, which tell of human vulnerability and strength. At the same time, their respective productions are also a manifesto for freedom, democracy and human rights:

In the internationally acclaimed choral theater MOTHERS A SONG FOR WARTIME by Polish director Marta Górnicka, 21 Ukrainian, Belarusian and Polish women raise their voices against the violence caused by the Russian war of aggression. In her directorial debut FREMDE SEELEN, dramaturge Eva-Maria Bertschy stages an investigation into the suicide of a Vietnamese priest in a village in the Swiss Alps. And in ΜΕΡΑ ΣΑΒΒΑΤΟ (ON A SATURDAY) by Irène Bonnaud, Greek actress Fotini Banou recalls a little-known chapter in the extermination of European Jewry with the involvement of the German Wehrmacht.
