Healing Hate
Caravan of LUV / Elia Rediger & int int irrit / Wiener Festwochen (Vienna / Basel / Berlin)
Festival Opening | Co-production | German premiere | German | with English surtitles | no age restriction

Are we ready for Woodstock 3.0? How can we respond to the turbulent world around us? Studies indicate that there are more than 110 million love songs, with about 2,000 being added every day. This is where singer, director and pop artist Elia Rediger comes into play, creating a glamorous opening for the 35th edition of euro-scene Leipzig at the Opera House in Leipzig – a happening you will never forget.
The 12-member musical performance collective Caravan of LUV arrives directly from the festival Wiener Festwochen, choosing Leipzig as their starting point for their healing tour across Europe. As a modern commune, the twelve musicians live and rehearse in their caravans, creating new rituals and love songs. Between ecstasy and silence, musical theater, performance and magical moments, Caravan of LUV creates a space in which pain, love and rock “n” roll meet in an impressive way. They create a different theme for each city. Well-known guests from the worlds of culture and society join the band on stage to create a program full of surprising moments. HEALING HATE is no ordinary concert, but a musical-performance happening that deals with the fractures of our present day. An evening of friction, reflection – and a radical invitation: What if we began not only to name hatred, but to transform it into love through empathy, music and community?
Elia Rediger, initiator of the Caravan of LUV, is no stranger to Leipzig: he is the frontman of the cult Leipzig band Brigade Futur 3 and was already featured at euro-scene Leipzig in 2022 as a founding member of Group 50:50 (THE GHOSTS ARE RETURNING).
Special Guests: Songwriter und musician Bonaparte, chorbeau, OBM Burkhard Jung, Robert Ssempijja u.a.
